The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association is proud to announce the 2019 CCAA Women’s Volleyball All-Canadians.
The student-athletes, who are selected by their conference based on performance and contribution to the sport and their team, were honoured at a banquet during the 2019 CCAA Women’s Volleyball National Championship, hosted by Niagara College in Welland, ON.

The PACWEST Player of the Year led the Mariners to a 23-1 record and first-overall finish in the conference. In her first season with VIU, Tormena led the PACWEST with 3.9 points per set and 3.11 kills per set. She can take over a match and leads the team by example, bringing her strong work ethic to games as well as practice. Tormena is always eager to assist with local youth volleyball programs. |
Oliveira led the Royals to an 18-6 record and second-place finish in the PACWEST. She ranked second in the conference in hitting percentage and third with 2.73 kills per set. The third-year outside hitter was also among the league leaders in points and blocks. A two-time CCAA All-Canadian, Oliveira is quiet and unassuming, yet very competitive and driven. She has embraced Douglas’ team-first concept, which has allowed younger players an opportunity to develop and grow. |

Erickson led Briercrest to a 20-4 record and first-place finish in the ACAC South Division. The fourth-year setter was second in the ACAC with 9.21 assists per set. Erickson, the Clippers captain, continually makes everyone around her better with her incredible work ethic and positive attitude. Erickson is a selfless leader who models Briercrest’s core values of being unselfish, nurturing, intentional, tenacious, eternal-focused and disciplined. |
Sigurdson, the ACAC Player of the Year, ranked first in the conference with 9.76 assists per set and led the Rustlers to a second-place finish in the ACAC North Division with a 20-4 record. Sigurdson’s decision making and ability to spread the ball around allowed for all five of Lakeland’s starting attackers to have more than 100 kills this season. The fifth-year setter, now a two-time CCAA All-Canadian, has an excellent work ethic and strives to be the best. |

Albert led Fanshawe to a perfect 18-0 record and first-overall finish in the OCAA West Division. The OCAA Player of the Year led the conference with 4.8 points per set and 63 service aces and ranked third with 3.38 kills per set. Albert, a second-year left side, holds teammates accountable. The Falcons captain is the ultimate teammate who never boasts, carries herself with confidence and truly believes in her skills and that of her teammates. |
Scheerhoorn was the OCAA East Division scoring champion and ranked second in the conference with 3.56 kills per set and third with 4.6 points per set. The fourth-year left side led the Thunder to a 14-4 record and third-place finish in their division. Scheerhoorn, Algonquin’s undisputed leader, is not only a great athlete but a great person and she exemplifies positive energy in helping her teammates succeed on the court. |

The RSEQ Player of the Year led the Cavaliers to a 13-5 record and first-place finish in the conference. A third-year attacker, Iannotti was among the league leaders with 3.74 points per set, 2.94 kills per set and 39 blocks. She is a force of nature and has shown tremendous growth and improvement at Bois-de-Boulogne thanks to her work ethic, relentless drive, tremendous desire to improve and her passion for her team and the sport. Iannotti has committed to McGill University. |
Lavigne led the RSEQ with 4.02 points per set and ranked third in the conference with 3.16 kills per set. The third-year attacker from Lionel-Groulx also chipped in 36 service aces and 25 blocks. She led her team to a 10-8 record and fourth-place finish in the RSEQ. The Nordiques captain is a complete student-athlete who excels just as much in the classroom. Lavigne has been recruited by the Université de Sherbrooke. |

The ACAA Player of the Year led the Mystics to a perfect 21-0 record and first-place finish in the conference. Urquhart led the ACAA with 4.8 points per set and 4.03 kills per set. The fifth-year left side also ranked second in hitting percentage and service aces. Urquhart, a co-captain at MSVU, has grown and matured into a complete player who excels offensively and defensively. She is a true competitor who plays with heart, skill and commitment. |
Birney led the Seawolves to a 14-7 record and third-place finish in the ACAA. The fourth-year middle led the conference in hitting percentage and total blocks with 43. Birney pushes her teammates and coaches at UNBSJ to think outside of the box and her determination to win is infectious. She has high energy, passion and intensity like no other. Birney also excels in the classroom with the same commitment and dedication; she is a three-time CCAA National Scholar Award recipient. |
