Canada wrapped up the women’s Super Six tournament in France with a decisive 3-0 (25-6, 25-7, 25-5) win over the host country on Sunday.
The United States defended its Super 6 title with a 3-1 (25-20, 20-25, 25-18, 25-19) win over China for gold; and Brazil won bronze with a sweep of Italy.
“After a fifth place finish at the Super 6 event in Nancy, France, we are already looking toward our next competition in Assen, Netherlands in two weeks,” said Canada’s head coach Nicole Ban, on the teams record of four losses and two wins. “We are looking to find more consistent play and to improve our performance as we will face similar opponents. The adversity faced at Super 6 will only make this resilient team stronger as we prepare for Paris.”
The sitting volleyball events at Paris 2024 will take place between the 29th of August and the 7th of September 2024.
