Edmond fashioned a team-high 13 kills in the victory while contributing eight digs and two blocks. Fairs, meanwhile, added 10 kills with 16 digs.
Team Drews was paced by captain Dani Drews, who finished with a match-high 18 kills on 53 attack attempts. The outside hitter also added seven digs and two service aces. Outside hitter Madison Villines chipped in eight kills, while setter Carli Lloyd garnered 22 assists with seven digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Team Valentin-Anderson used a balanced attack to claim the opening set with a 25-18 victory as five different athletes registered a kill. Team Valentin-Anderson extended the advantage with a second straight 25-18 set win, which included seven kills from Edmond. Team Drews avoided the match sweep as Drews posted six kills to lead her team to the three-point win in the final set.
