It’s Day one of the 2024 ACAA Volleyball Championships. Women’s Quarter-final saw 4th place Holland College Hurricanes up against 5th place St. Thomas Univeristy Tommies for the first match-up of the weekend.
The Hurricanes came out swinging with a strong attack right from the jump. Morgan White had 11 kills and 9 digs to earn her player of the game for the Hurricanes.
STU put up a good fight and kept each set within a few points of the Hurricanes. Essential to STU’s offence was Kathleen Boyle, who, with 10 kills and 10 digs, earned a well-deserved player of the game for the Tommies.
White’s offensive attack was key to the Hurricanes’ success as they took set after set, coming out on top and winning 3-0 (25-22, 25-21 and 25-23).
