The Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC) volleyball season showcased numerous highlights and award winning performances throughout the 2022-23 regular season throughout 18 matches played. Both women’s and men’s volleyball All Conference and Player of the Year awards were selected prior to the start of the MCAC Championship weekend which runs on February 25-26 hosted by Université de Saint-Boniface (USB) Les Rouges.
2022-23 Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year: Samuelle Lemoine – Université de Saint-Boniface (USB) Les Rouges
“Samuelle is such a deserving recipient of a Player of the Year award. This is a true culmination of her years of hard work and dedication to bettering herself as an athlete. She is also an amazing captain and has contributed immensely in building the WVB program at USB into what it is today. Her work ethic toward the physical and mental aspects of the game have allowed her to become so effective offensively and defensively. She makes every athlete around her reach a higher level with her positivity, intensity and her ability to run such an efficient offense.” – USB Les Rouges head coach Evan Turenne
Samuelle Lemoine – 5th year Setter, team captain: 18 matches played; part of 1st place regular season team in standings; 1st in conference in assists in this season at 521; 2nd in assists per set in MCAC at 9.47; T-6th in service aces this MCAC season at 23; 7th in conference digs at 180

Rachel Bartel – Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) Blazers
Alex Buhler – Providence University College (PUC) Pilots
Tyra Peters – Providence University College (PUC) Pilots
Jenna Campbell – Université de Saint-Boniface (USB) Les Rouges
Valeria Gonzalez – Université de Saint-Boniface (USB) Les Rouges
Samuelle Lemoine – Université de Saint-Boniface (USB) Les Rouges
Buhler, Campbell and Lemoine were also All Canadian selections in 2021-22
