The Capilano Blues defeated the Camosun Chargers in a thrilling-five set PACWEST Championship final. Capilano, led by fifth-year setter Simon Friesen, went 18-6 during the regular season to finish in a tie for second in the PACWEST. The Blues have twice made it to the CCAA Championship final, falling both times to the Red Deer Kings (2004, 2005). They’ll face the Durham Lords, the OCAA Wildcard entry. Durham was defeated by Humber in the OCAA Championship final. The Lords, led by fifth-year setter Liam Gray, finished atop the OCAA East Division standings with a 16-2 record.
