Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week: Gabrielle Attieh, UFV

Gabrielle Attieh, a fifth-year outside hitter, led the Cascades to win back-to-back matches against the MacEwan Griffins over the weekend. In the victory game on Friday (3-0), Gabrielle scored 18 points, all by kills, and she added one assist, and 8 digs. On Saturday, UFV once again swept the Griffins where Attieh managed to get 12 points on 11 kills and an ace. She also added five digs. For the weekend, she posted a hitting percentage of 0.426.
Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week: Gustavo Siqueira, Windsor

- Program: Business Administration
Gustavo Siqueira won the battle of big hitters against Toronto Metropolitan last weekend over the weekend by winning both matches. During Saturday’s match, which the Lancers won in five sets, Siqueira totaled 17 points as he had 15 kills while adding 2 assists, one service ace, seven digs, and one solo block. He continued his excellent performance on Sunday’s game, a 3-1 win. He had a team-high 21 kills and added four assists and eight digs as the Lancers completed the series sweep.
