The Trinity Western Spartans remained the top-ranked team in the U SPORTS women’s volleyball Top 10 after sweeping the Regina Cougars in a two-game series last week. TWU (18-2) is spending its tenth straight week atop the table.
UQAM (12-4) and Saint Mary’s (11-4) made the biggest moves of the week as they jumped into the Top 10 rankings. The Citadins moved up to No. 5 and the Huskies moved to No. 8 after both teams picked up sweeps this past week.
There was no movement among the top three teams, as Brock (14-2) and Mount Royal (15-5) remain at No. 2 and No. 3.
The No. 4 UBC Thunderbirds (16-4) moved up one spot from last week, as did the Western Mustangs (14-3) who are now at No. 6. The UFV Cascades (14-6) dropped three spots down to No. 7, while the McMaster Marauders (13-3) remain at No. 9 and Queen’s Gaels (11-5) moved down four spots to No. 10.
There are two Top 10 matchups this week as the No. 2 Badgers will host the No. 10 Gaels, and the No. 6 Mustangs will host the No. 9 Marauders, both on Friday night.
