- Last weekend on the road TWU swept the MacEwan Griffins, 4-1, and 3-0 in Edmonton, Alta.
- Last weekend the Mount Royal Cougars swept the Manitoba Bisons at home in Calgary, Alta. The Cougars won 7-0 on Friday night, and 3-2 in overtime on Saturday night at the Flames Community Arena.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 13 sports in the Canada West conference, including women’s and men’s soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, cross country, and track & field, as well as women’s rugby sevens.
