The semester break couldn’t come at a worse time for Noah Boschman.
The Providence University College left side would love to keep rolling after a 47-kill weekend to wrap up the first half of the men’s volleyball season at 5-4.
Then again, he could use the rest. Boschman is the last MCAC male athlete of the week of 2023 and will look to continue his strong second season into the new year.
“Noah has been tremendous for us this semester. He brings a lot of confidence and composure to our squad, and it’s cool to see him impacting his teammates in this area,” said Pilots head coach Paul Armbruster.
“For someone of his accomplishments, it’s great to see that he wants to keep improving, but what I’m most impressed with is, how humble he is. We are blessed to have number four leading us.”
Boschman had 20 kills and a .340 hitting percentage as PUC beat Assiniboine Community College (4-5) in four sets on Friday, adding four blocks and five digs.
The next night, he posted a massive 27 kills and 14 digs in a 3-2 loss to Canadian Mennonite University (9-0), which is ranked No. 8 in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association top 15.
The season resumes on Jan. 12 when PUC visits the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges (0-9), and CMU visits ACC.
