LIONS LOOK TO REDISCOVER WINNING WAYS VS. WESTERN

It’s two for the price of one at Tait McKenzie Centre this weekend as the York University Lions women’s volleyball team hosts the Western Mustangs in back-to-back games.
 
The Lions are coming off a pair of tough losses last weekend after sweeping the RMC Paladins in the opening two games. First, it was an emotional five-set defeat against the Toronto Varsity Blues. Then, the Lions dropped a four-setter to McMaster in which they actually won the opening set.

#13 JESSICA REYNOLDS: Third-year outside hitter… Leads the lions in kills this season (33)… that puts her seventh in the province in that category… Was second on the Lions in kills and points scored in their last match at McMaster… Has been someone the Lions rely on to earn them points in major situations, especially at the end of long rallies.
 
Western:
 
#2 JAEYA BRACH: Second-year outside hitter… Has been one of the Mustangs premier offensive stars early in the year… Is 3rd in the OUA in total attacks and 6th in kills… Leads the Mustangs in both categories… Has scored the second-most points on the team (37.5)

#13 JANELLE ALBERT: Fifth-year outside hitter… Is a real veteran presence on the Mustangs roster… She leads the Mustangs, directly ahead of Brach, in total points (42.0) and points per set (3.5)… trails only Brach in kills and total attacks… The other member of the Mustangs dual threat on the wings.
