KINGSTON, Ont. (Feb. 9, 2024) – Queen’s Women’s Volleyball opened their weekend doubleheader against the Guelph Gryphons with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-8, 25-22) Friday night at the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC).
After a comfortable first set win, the Gaels dominated the second set and closed out the straight sets victory with a close win in the third and final set.
Hannah Duchesneau (Sharon, Ont.) led Queen’s offensive efforts in the win, with a game-high 10 kills. Duchesneau also added eight digs and four assists.
Shea Baker (Vancouver, B.C.) also contributed offensively with a game-high 28 assists.
Holly Biasi (Aurora, Ont.) led all players with 12 digs.
With the win, the Gaels improved their record to 15-2 while the Gryphons’ record fell to 12-5 with their loss. Queen’s will close out their weekend series with Guelph Saturday at 6 p.m. at the ARC.
