Bold better backline with Livia Davenport signing

TORONTO – The TMU women’s volleyball team continues to grow their 2024 recruiting class, reaching into the southwestern Ontario pipeline by picking up libero Livia Davenport out of Saunders Secondary School in London, Ontario.

Davenport joins the Bold after a standout junior career in London, where she served as team captain on each school team she played with, winning MVP in back-to-back seasons. She was also nominated in 2024 for the TVDSB Central Ms. Volleyball award while being an honour roll student all four years of high school.

“Livia will be an amazing addition to our team. She has a very strong work ethic and competitiveness that we are excited to see impact our program,” said assistant head coach Brett Hagarty. “She is a talented libero that can contribute both on defence and serve receive. Her pursuit of both academic and athletic excellence will be a great addition to our team and culture right away.”

Davenport will join the Biomedical Sciences program when she gets on campus in the fall. She joined the blue and gold because of the opportunities in the classroom and the court.

“I chose TMU because of the great team culture, incredible coaching staff, and the balance between strong academics and competitive athletics.”

She’ll play an important role in helping the Bold build off their strong 2023-24 season.
