Bold Add Outside Hitter from Australia, Aidan Suttie

TORONTO – The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold men’s volleyball team has secured its second commitment of the 2025-26 recruiting cycle, signing Aidan Suttie, a 6’8″ middle blocker from Sydney, Australia.

Aidan is a member of the Australian National Development Program and brings professional experience from his recent stint with Nordenskov Volleyball Club in Denmark.

“On behalf of the TMU Men’s Volleyball Coaching Staff, we are excited to have an athlete and person of Aidan’s caliber join the TMU family!” said Bold head coach Niko Rukavina. “Aidan brings a lot of physicality at 6’8, along with a great eye for blocking. He will make an immediate impact on our program, and I can’t wait to get in the gym and get to work.”

Suttie expressed his excitement about joining TMU:
“I chose TMU not only because of the excellent squad that Coach Niko has put together, but also the team and school culture, which I have heard about and witnessed firsthand while watching TMU play (albeit from back here in Sydney). After talking with Coach Niko, I feel that the goals and values of the team align with mine, and I am excited to be a part of what I am sure is going to be an exciting future for the program.”

Suttie becomes the second player to commit to the Bold for the 2025-26 season, joining Brayden Walker, who signed with the team in October.
