It will be the Bears first trip to the National Final since 2017, and fourth trip in the last eight seasons.
Isaac Heslinga and Jordan Canham both tallied double-digit kills during Alberta’s victory.
Heslinga finished with 19 kills and Max Elgert added 48 assists to lead Alberta, while Hamish Hazelden had 13 kills and Tomas Sorra had 31 assists in a losing cause for Calgary.
Alberta recorded a .387 hitting percentage in the match, compared to Calgary’s .325.
With the win, Alberta advances to play the winner of Trinity Western and Sherbrooke on Sunday at 4 p.m. CT (5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT) in the gold medal match, while Calgary will take on the loser in the bronze medal game on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT (2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT).
Golden Bears Volleyball are off to the National Final following a 4-set win over their rivals to the south, Calgary Dinos.
Fourth time in the last 8 years the Bears are in the Championship game.
