Varsity Giving Challenge is Back!

Who doesn’t love a little friendly competition? The Warriors Varsity Giving Challenge is back with varsity teams going head-to-head to reach donor goals during this exciting week of giving. From Monday, September 23 to Monday, September 30, alumni, parents, family, friends, and fans are all encouraged to participate…every donor counts!

And we’ve added an exciting new feature to the challenge this year…you now can show your support of your favorite Warriors team by becoming a monthly donor as well as making a one-time donation!

This year, each team will attempt to reach both a one-time donor goal and a new monthly donor goal.

And to keep things interesting, there will be cash prizes for the teams who successfully reach their challenge goals. A special thanks to Laura Sylvah, Manager of Therapy Services, Athletics and Recreation, Chris Read, Associate Provost, Students and Heather Read (BA ’96), and Eric Celentano (BSc ’79), Alumni Council Member, who have generously provided the cash prizes. There are three ways for teams to receive this additional money:

• The team that receives the most one-time donors at the end of the challenge will receive $1,000 in additional funds to support their program.
• All other teams who reach their one-time donor goal by Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. will be entered into a random draw where one team will receive an additional $500 for their program.
• All teams who reach their new monthly donor goal by Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. will be entered into a random draw where one team will receive an additional $1,000 for their program.

A friendly reminder, only one donation per person, per team, will be counted at the end of the challenge. Be sure to check out our Frequently Asked Questions page to read all the challenge rules.

Your support either through a one-time donation, signing up to be a monthly donor, or both, will make a tremendous impact and further enrich the student-athlete experience as our teams return to competition this fall.
