Rebecca van Staalduinen developed her love of volleyball at Madawaska Volleyball Camp, going through the ranks as camper, Coach-In-Training, Assistant Coach, Head Coach and most recently in the summer of 2022, as a Section Head. She played out her post-secondary years at Trent University, competing in the OCAA. There she earned several OCAA All-Stars, Academic All-Canadians, and Team Awards. The final year was capped off with an OCAA Bronze Medal and Tournament All-Star. After graduating, Rebecca turned her focus to coaching – participating in every coaching seminar that she could attend. For the last 6 years, Rebecca has been an assistant coach with the Trent University Women’s Volleyball team, now competing in the OUA. She has been fortunate enough to be chosen as a participant in the USports Female Apprenticeship Coach Program for the current season. Rebecca has learned so much and gained so many resources to share with the team, plus new coaching friends across the country! In January 2023, Rebecca was named the interim head coach of the team.
