We HOPE to see you at the HOPE Volleyball Tournament

If you like to play volleyball, have fun with friends, and support a great cause–the HOPE Volleyball tournament is for you.

H.O.P.E is an acronym that stands for ‘Helping Other People Everywhere’, which is the purpose and goal of its inception. Hope Toronto Inc. is a registered charity that was created in 1984 by Dan Korey. The charity strives to raise awareness and funds for other local charities in the community. Over the years since its creation, dance parties and boat cruises where main fundraising events. However, HOPE held its first volleyball tournament on Toronto Island in 1988, launching its notoriety as a fun, must-have event. At the time of this article, HOPE hosts its volleyball tournament as its number one flagship event.

As evidence of its success over the years, HOPE has been acclaimed Toronto’s largest single day volleyball tournament fundraiser.

Who can register? Anyone ages 16 and over are eligible to register for the tournament. HOPE hosts regular teams, student teams, corporate teams (check out this team building opportunity!), and individuals.

How do you register? You can register online at: hopevolleyball.com

Keep in mind that spots are limited and typically fill quickly. HOPE runs on a first come–first serve basis.

You can expect to experience a day full of fun, laughter, and excellent volleyball. HOPE also provides a silent auction, a DJ, prizes, food, and alcohol at the event.

My name is Chloe Biel and I am an Operations Intern: Media & Journalism. I graduated in spring of 2021 from Western University with a major in Media, Information and Techno-culture and a minor in Writing Studies. I was also a member of the Western women's varsity volleyball team. I am pursuing a post-graduate degree in Creative Book Publishing from Humber College in the summer of 2022. I have been an active member in the volleyball community for the majority of my life (both beach and indoor) and am eagerly seeking opportunities to stay within and give back to the community that has given me so much!
