Volleyball Canada hosts successful VC Combine pilot

November 16, 2021 – Volleyball Canada is pleased to share that the first-ever VC Combine, presented by PUSH, was successfully hosted on November 6 in Vaughan, Ontario.

The event was held at the Vaughan Volleyball Centre with the support of the Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA).

“It’s very exciting to see this event come to life,” said Michael Cook, the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Men’s National Team. “The Combine is an excellent way to get athletes across the country engaged, while also giving them a glimpse into the tests that the National Team athletes complete.”

The pilot for the VC Combine saw 132 athletes complete the 11 tests and measurements, divided into groups of six or less throughout the day. This included 88 girls and 44 boys aged 14 to 18.

VC is currently working with the provinces and territories to take this event across Canada.

PUSH is a VC partner: The PUSH system empowers coaches and trainers to plan, track, assess and improve athlete performance in real-time. For more info on this technology: https://www.trainwithpush.com
