MARAUDER VOLLEYBALL TEAMS PREPARE FOR 22-23 SEASON AS OUA ANNOUNCES SCHEDULES

HAMILTON – The McMaster Marauders men’s and women’s volleyball teams will look to perform at their highest caliber this upcoming season, as the OUA announced its 2022-23 regular season schedule today.

McMaster will open the season November 4th and 5th as the women host Lakehead University while the men host Trent University in a pair of doubleheaders in Burridge Gymnasium. The Marauders will then hit the road to play the rival Western Mustangs in London on November 11th.

McMaster then returns to Burridge where the women’s team takes on York and the men’s team takes on the Waterloo Warriors.

In week three, McMaster will have consecutive away games, facing Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) on November 18th, and the Brock Badgers on November 20. The Marauders then return home for four consecutive home games. McMaster first takes on Nipissing November 25th and 26th, and then Queen’s December 2nd and 3rd.

In the New Year, McMaster heads to St. Catharines to play Brock on January 13th, with the women playing the OUA champion Badgers. The Marauders then head to Toronto to take on the Varsity Blues on January 15th.

On January 18th, the Marauders return home to protect Burridge Gymnasium when the women take on the York Lions at 6:00 PM and the McMaster men take on the Waterloo Warriors at 8:00 PM. McMaster then hits the road to face York and Waterloo again on January 21st.

McMaster then has consecutive home games against Royal Military College with the women playing at 6:00 PM and the men playing at 8:00 PM on both February 3rd and 4th.

McMaster hits the road again with both teams taking on the Western Mustangs on February 10th. The Marauder teams then part ways on February 11th with the women heading to Waterloo to take on the Warriors at 6:00 PM and the men heading to Toronto to take on the York Lions at 8:00 PM.

They will close out the regular season with consecutive away games on February 17th against TMU, and February 19th against the Toronto Varsity Blues.

McMaster will also host the 2023 U SPORTS Men’s National Volleyball Championship in March. Tickets for the championship will go on sale this fall.
